Why is there a price range for wall graphics and murals rather than one figure?

Because jobs vary. The guide of £38 to £82 per m² + VAT spans small, simple work at one end and larger, more involved work at the other. Size, material, finish, access, design time and any consent drawings push the figure up or down. A survey or artwork check lets us fix the price for your job in Derry/Londonderry.

Can graphics go around corners and doors?

Yes. Printed graphics are designed to the exact wall layout, so an image can run around an external corner, frame a doorway or continue above it. The artwork is planned so faces and text don't fall across a corner, light switch or door frame.

What do you need from me to quote for wall graphics and murals in Derry/Londonderry?

Photos are the most useful start: the whole frontage, window or vehicle, plus a close-up of the area involved. Add rough measurements, your logo or artwork if you have it, and the address. From that we can say whether a survey visit is needed and send a written quote, followed by a proof for you to approve.

Are wall graphics suitable for gyms?

Yes, with the right material. Laminated vinyl copes with sweat, wiping and knocks from equipment. In changing rooms keep graphics away from showers and areas that are regularly soaked, where edges will lift, and make sure humid spaces are well ventilated.

How long does it take to get wall graphics and murals in Derry/Londonderry?

It typically takes a few weeks from first enquiry, with much of that time falling after you approve the proof, while the work is made and scheduled. Graphics and vehicle jobs are typically shorter than fabricated or illuminated signs. If advertisement consent is needed, the council's decision comes first and adds to the overall timescale.

How soon after painting can graphics go up?

Not until the paint has cured, which takes longer than drying to the touch. Follow the paint maker's guidance; as a rough guide, allow at least a couple of weeks. Applied too soon, vinyl can trap solvents, causing bubbles or a weak bond.

Wall graphics and murals in Derry/Londonderry: permission and rules

Graphics on interior walls usually fall outside advertisement control, so planning consent is rarely the question indoors. The checks are fire performance in escape routes, your lease, and listed status: listed building consent covers interiors too, so ask the council before fixing to historic surfaces. A branded graphic on an outside wall is normally treated as an advertisement; in England it falls under the 2007 regulations, and large graphics may need express consent. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules. If consent is needed, we can prepare the drawings and photos or submit the application for you.
