How much does one-way vision cost?

Printed one-way vision has a guide price of £32–£62 per m², printed, laminated and fitted, excluding VAT, with a minimum job of £225 + VAT. The fixed price depends on area, number of panes and artwork, and is confirmed after measuring.

How long does it take to get one-way vision film in Merthyr Tydfil?

It typically takes a few weeks from first enquiry, with much of that time falling after you approve the proof, while the work is made and scheduled. Graphics and vehicle jobs are typically shorter than fabricated or illuminated signs. If advertisement consent is needed, the council's decision comes first and adds to the overall timescale.

Do you cover smaller places near Merthyr Tydfil as well?

Yes. Our coverage is not limited to Merthyr Tydfil itself: nearby towns, industrial estates and business parks across Mid Glamorgan are included too. The process does not change with the postcode. Send photos and approximate sizes, and we will tell you whether a site visit is needed before we can give you a fixed price.

Why does one-way vision blur in the rain?

Water fills the holes, blurring the view from inside, while droplets scatter the printed image. Clear laminate over the film seals the perforations, so rain runs off and the view clears once the glass dries, which is why laminate is standard for long-term use.

Why is there a price range for one-way vision film rather than one figure?

Because jobs vary. The guide of £32 to £62 per m² + VAT spans small, simple work at one end and larger, more involved work at the other. Size, material, finish, access, design time and any consent drawings push the figure up or down. A survey or artwork check lets us fix the price for your job in Merthyr Tydfil.

What image resolution does one-way vision need?

Around 100 dpi at the finished printed size is usually enough, because the perforations soften fine detail and the window is seen from a distance. Logos and text should be vector files. If an image is too small, we say so at the artwork check.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Merthyr Tydfil

Glass graphics raise two separate questions in Wales. Planning first: councils take different views on window graphics, and while internal graphics are often outside control or allowed, a listed shopfront or a conservation area can bring restrictions on large designs. Safety second: large areas of glazing that people could walk into must be made visible, and in workplaces regulation 14 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 requires marking where it is needed. Welsh building guidance deals with manifestation with that same aim, and we confirm the heights for your building before the proof is approved.
