What is the typical timescale for wall graphics and murals from enquiry to fitting?

A quote typically follows once we have your photos or have surveyed the site, and making and fitting is typically booked a few weeks after you approve the proof. Where advertisement consent applies, that decision has to come through before anything goes up, which can add several weeks. We give you an expected timescale with your quote for Forres.

Can I get a fixed price for wall graphics and murals in Forres before committing?

Yes. We start from the guide range, £38 to £82 per m² excluding VAT, then measure up or look at your photos and artwork. That gives a fixed written price reflecting the real size, materials, access and any design or consent work. You only commit once you accept that price and approve the proof.

Can you make a mural from our photos?

Often, if the files are large enough. A wall is a big print, so each photo is checked at full size and we tell you how it will look. Low-resolution images can be swapped for stock photography or drawn artwork, and you see a scaled proof first.

How do you clean wall graphics?

Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads, solvent cleaners and scrubbing at edges. Laminated vinyl handles regular cleaning well, which is why it suits busy corridors, gyms and schools; wallpaper murals need a gentler touch.

Can graphics go around corners and doors?

Yes. Printed graphics are designed to the exact wall layout, so an image can run around an external corner, frame a doorway or continue above it. The artwork is planned so faces and text don't fall across a corner, light switch or door frame.

Who carries out the work on wall graphics and murals in Forres?

The work on site is done by installers working under our contract, and anything that needs making is produced by specialist fabricators. You deal with Smart Signs throughout: we take the enquiry, survey, prepare the design and quote, check consent and coordinate the fitting, so there is one point of contact from first message to handover.

Wall graphics and murals in Forres: permission and rules

Graphics on interior walls usually fall outside advertisement control, so planning consent is rarely the question indoors. The checks are fire performance in escape routes, your lease, and listed status: listed building consent covers interiors too, so ask the council before fixing to historic surfaces. A branded graphic on an outside wall is normally treated as an advertisement; in England it falls under the 2007 regulations, and large graphics may need express consent. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules. If consent is needed, we can prepare the drawings and photos or submit the application for you.
