How long does a van wrap last?

Manufacturers commonly rate quality cast wrap film for around 5–7 years on vertical panels such as the sides and rear doors. The roof and bonnet face the sun and weather directly, so they age faster. Colour, climate, parking and washing habits all make a difference, and a van kept out of direct sun and washed gently will usually look better for longer.

Will someone visit my premises in Gateshead before quoting?

If the job needs it, yes. For signs fixed to a building, anything illuminated or work at height, we arrange a survey to measure, check the wall and plan access. For window graphics, lettering and many vehicle jobs, clear photos with measurements are often enough, and we only visit if something needs a closer look.

Could the consent process affect the timing of my job in Gateshead?

It can. Not every job needs an application, but where express consent is required the council's decision typically takes several weeks, and fitting typically waits until it is granted. We check this at the start, so the timetable you receive with your quote allows for consent where it applies, along with the proof approval stage.

Do you need print-ready artwork for a van wrap?

No. A logo file, your brand colours and the wording you want are enough to start. The design is laid out on a scale template of your van, with each side, the front and the rear doors shown on the proof. If you already have a full wrap design, we check it against the template so nothing lands on a handle or door gap.

Can I get a fixed price for van wraps in Gateshead before committing?

Yes. We start from the guide range, £795 to £3,850 per van excluding VAT, then measure up or look at your photos and artwork. That gives a fixed written price reflecting the real size, materials, access and any design or consent work. You only commit once you accept that price and approve the proof.

What if your phone number or services change?

The affected area can usually be patched with a new printed section cut to fit the existing design, rather than redoing the whole van. On an older wrap, new print may look slightly brighter than film that has been in the sun for a while, so replacing a larger panel, such as a whole rear door, can blend in better.

Van wraps in Gateshead

A van wrap is printed cast vinyl film, protected by a clear laminate, applied over a van's factory paint to cover some or all of its panels with your branding, colours and contact details.

Where van wraps can pay off in Gateshead

Slow school-run and commuter traffic through Gateshead gives side panels time to be read, which rewards a short services list and large lettering.
Queues on the main roads in and out of Gateshead give the driver behind you time to read a phone number on your rear doors.
A firm just starting out in Gateshead can look properly set up from the first job with a wrap rather than a magnetic sign on the door.

What van wraps cost in Gateshead

Budgeting for van wraps? The guide below runs from £795 to £3,850 per van. VAT is extra. Size, materials and access decide where your job lands, and we confirm it in writing after surveying or checking the artwork.

Van wraps in Gateshead: guide prices, supplied and fitted
Item	Guide, ex VAT	Inc. VAT (20%)
Part wrap (sides and rear)	£795 – £1,850	£954 – £2,220

Full wrap, long-wheelbase or high-roof van	£2,450 – £3,850	£2,940 – £4,620

The main drivers are van size, how much is covered, how complex the panels are, design time and whether old graphics have to come off first. Ribbed sides and deep recesses take longer to fit. All prices exclude VAT and are confirmed after we've checked your van details and artwork.

Rules for vehicle graphics in Gateshead

Think road rules rather than planning rules. In England a vehicle normally used for driving is outside advertisement control, although parking one somewhere chiefly as a billboard can bring it back within the council's remit. Three checks matter more. Tell DVLA, via the V5C, and your insurer if the main colour changes. Keep the windscreen at 75% light transmission or better and the front side windows at 70% or better, as the 1986 Construction and Use Regulations require. And for lease vehicles, read the agreement for what it says about graphics and removal. We plan every layout around all three.
