What makes van wraps more or less expensive?

Size and quantity come first, then the material or film, any lighting, the height of the work and the equipment needed to reach it, and the state of the surface or old sign being replaced. Against that, the guide for a job in Magherafelt is £795–£3,850 per van + VAT, confirmed after a survey or artwork check.

Can a wrap go over the existing lettering?

It's better not to. Old lettering leaves raised edges that show through new film, and the new wrap would only be as secure as the old vinyl underneath. Taking the lettering off first, cleaning away the adhesive and checking for ghosting gives the wrap a smooth base. Removal is quoted as part of the job when it's needed.

Is there a typical lead time for van wraps in Magherafelt?

Yes, though it varies with the job. The lead time typically runs from the day you approve the proof, not from the first enquiry, and is typically a few weeks. Survey visits, artwork changes and any consent application sit before that point, so getting photos, sizes and logo files to us early typically shortens the overall timescale.

Can graphics go on the rear windows?

Yes, on the rear windows, using perforated one-way vision film that lets the driver see out while passers-by see the print. It's used on vans with two exterior mirrors. The windscreen and front side windows must let through at least 75 per cent and 70 per cent of light respectively, so we keep graphics off those.

What if your phone number or services change?

The affected area can usually be patched with a new printed section cut to fit the existing design, rather than redoing the whole van. On an older wrap, new print may look slightly brighter than film that has been in the sun for a while, so replacing a larger panel, such as a whole rear door, can blend in better.

Do you work across County Londonderry or only in Magherafelt?

Across all of County Londonderry, and the rest of the UK too. Magherafelt is simply one of the places we list, and enquiries from anywhere nearby follow exactly the same steps: photos or a survey, a scaled proof, a written price, then making and fitting once you sign off the design.

Van wraps in Magherafelt

A van wrap is printed cast vinyl film, protected by a clear laminate, applied over a van's factory paint to cover some or all of its panels with your branding, colours and contact details.

Why choose van wraps for a business in Magherafelt?

Slow school-run and commuter traffic through Magherafelt gives side panels time to be read, which rewards a short services list and large lettering.
A firm just starting out in Magherafelt can look properly set up from the first job with a wrap rather than a magnetic sign on the door.
If you trade across County Londonderry as well as Magherafelt, a wrapped van takes the same branding to every job without paying for advertising space.

Rules for vehicle graphics in Magherafelt

Planning for van wraps in Northern Ireland? The council's advertisement rules generally do not apply to vehicles in normal use, though a vehicle stationed mainly as an advert can be treated as one. The points to watch are DVLA, insurance and visibility: update the V5C if the main colour changes, let your insurer know, and keep the windscreen (75% light minimum) and front side windows (70%) free of graphics. Rear one-way vision film is used on vans and cars with two exterior mirrors. For leased vehicles, check the agreement on graphics and removal.
