Glass manifestation is marking such as dots, bands, logos or frosted strips applied to glass doors, screens and partitions so people can see the glass and don't walk into it.
Where glass manifestation can pay off in Hitchin
- Rebranding a Hitchin office? Old manifestation can be replaced at the same time, so the safety markings match the new look.
- Where a Hitchin building has a glazed stairwell or atrium, access to every pane is planned at the survey.
- If an inspection in Hitchin has flagged unmarked glass, one measured survey can price every door and panel.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Hitchin
Most businesses ask two things about glass: do I need permission, and does it need marking? On permission, councils in England take differing views on window graphics; inside-the-glass work is often outside control or allowed, while big graphics on listed shopfronts or in conservation areas can be restricted. We check before you commit. On marking, Approved Document K recommends manifestation at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level on glazing people could walk into, and the Workplace Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) cover transparent surfaces at work. Our proof shows the heights, so you can see the result before anything is cut.
