What height should glass manifestation be?

England's Approved Document K suggests two zones: 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own building guidance with the same aim. We measure from the finished floor and set markings within those bands across each pane.

Is Thamesmead inside your coverage area for glass manifestation?

It is. We work throughout the UK rather than in a single region, so Thamesmead and every part of Greater London are included. Where a survey is needed we arrange a visit; for graphics jobs we can often quote from photos and measurements. Either way, you get a proof and a written price first.

Why is there a price range for glass manifestation rather than one figure?

Because jobs vary. The guide of £65 to £180 per pane + VAT spans small, simple work at one end and larger, more involved work at the other. Size, material, finish, access, design time and any consent drawings push the figure up or down. A survey or artwork check lets us fix the price for your job in Thamesmead.

Is safety tape or a few stickers enough?

Usually not as a lasting answer. Tape and stickers are a stopgap: they peel, fade and often cover only one height or part of the width. Durable film markings running across the glass in both zones are far more likely to be noticed.

Does manifestation go on both sides of the glass?

Usually not. Frosted film and most vinyls show from both sides because the glass is clear, so one layer on the room side normally works. Printed or coloured designs may need a second layer if the back looks plain or reversed.

What can delay glass manifestation in Thamesmead?

The usual causes are artwork changes after the proof stage, waiting for consent, access arrangements such as a council licence for scaffolding on the pavement, and weather for outdoor fitting. Jobs typically run smoothly once the proof is approved and any consent is in place, but we do not promise dates that depend on things outside our control.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Thamesmead

Most businesses ask two things about glass: do I need permission, and does it need marking? On permission, councils in England take differing views on window graphics; inside-the-glass work is often outside control or allowed, while big graphics on listed shopfronts or in conservation areas can be restricted. We check before you commit. On marking, Approved Document K recommends manifestation at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level on glazing people could walk into, and the Workplace Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) cover transparent surfaces at work. Our proof shows the heights, so you can see the result before anything is cut.
