Will manifestation stop people seeing in?

No, that isn't its purpose. Manifestation is a narrow marking that makes glass visible, so the room stays open to view. If you also want privacy, frosted bands or full frosting can be designed so privacy film and manifestation work together.

Is safety tape or a few stickers enough?

Usually not as a lasting answer. Tape and stickers are a stopgap: they peel, fade and often cover only one height or part of the width. Durable film markings running across the glass in both zones are far more likely to be noticed.

Can I get a fixed price for glass manifestation in Purley before committing?

Yes. We start from the guide range, £65 to £180 per pane excluding VAT, then measure up or look at your photos and artwork. That gives a fixed written price reflecting the real size, materials, access and any design or consent work. You only commit once you accept that price and approve the proof.

How long does it take to get glass manifestation in Purley?

It typically takes a few weeks from first enquiry, with much of that time falling after you approve the proof, while the work is made and scheduled. Graphics and vehicle jobs are typically shorter than fabricated or illuminated signs. If advertisement consent is needed, the council's decision comes first and adds to the overall timescale.

Do you cover smaller places near Purley as well?

Yes. Our coverage is not limited to Purley itself: nearby towns, industrial estates and business parks across Greater London are included too. The process does not change with the postcode. Send photos and approximate sizes, and we will tell you whether a site visit is needed before we can give you a fixed price.

Does manifestation go on both sides of the glass?

Usually not. Frosted film and most vinyls show from both sides because the glass is clear, so one layer on the room side normally works. Printed or coloured designs may need a second layer if the back looks plain or reversed.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Purley

Two sets of rules can touch glass graphics in England. The first is advertisement control: lettering and graphics on the inside of a shop window are often outside it or allowed, but councils differ, and conservation areas and listed shopfronts can bring restrictions on large graphics. The second is safety. Approved Document K points to manifestation bands at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm from the floor, and in workplaces regulation 14 of the 1992 Workplace Regulations requires glazing to be marked where needed. We take both into account when we set out the proof, and we check with the council where the building or street calls for it.
