Frosted window film is a translucent, etch-effect self-adhesive film that blurs the view through glass while still letting daylight pass, giving the look of sandblasted glass without replacing it.
Why choose frosted window film in Herefordshire?
- Ground-floor offices on a Hereford street can frost the lower half of each window, keeping desks private while daylight comes in above.
- If you lease a unit on a Hereford business park, peel-off film helps you hand the glass back clear at the end.
- For salons and spas in Hereford, banded or patterned frost screens treatment rooms while reception still feels light.
Guide prices in Herefordshire
Guide prices for frosted window film run from £32 to £68 per m², excluding VAT. The table below breaks that down; your actual price is fixed in writing once we have surveyed the site or checked the artwork.
| Item | Guide, ex VAT | Inc. VAT (20%) |
|---|---|---|
| Plain frosted film, per m² | £32 – £48 | £38.40 – £57.60 |
| Frosted film with cut-out design, per m² | £45 – £68 | £54 – £81.60 |
| Minimum job | £225 | £270 |
Pane count, design detail, high glazing needing a tower, and old film to remove all move the figure; the price is confirmed after survey and design approval.
Rules for window and glass graphics in Herefordshire
Most businesses ask two things about glass: do I need permission, and does it need marking? On permission, councils in England take differing views on window graphics; inside-the-glass work is often outside control or allowed, while big graphics on listed shopfronts or in conservation areas can be restricted. We check before you commit. On marking, Approved Document K recommends manifestation at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level on glazing people could walk into, and the Workplace Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) cover transparent surfaces at work. Our proof shows the heights, so you can see the result before anything is cut.
