Frosted window film is a translucent, etch-effect self-adhesive film that blurs the view through glass while still letting daylight pass, giving the look of sandblasted glass without replacing it.
Practical reasons to consider frosted window film in Truro
- Is the back office of your Truro shop visible from the till? A frosted panel on the glazed door hides paperwork without blocking light.
- In a listed Truro building, we ask the council before frosting historic windows, as altering their look can need consent.
- For salons and spas in Truro, banded or patterned frost screens treatment rooms while reception still feels light.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Truro
Most businesses ask two things about glass: do I need permission, and does it need marking? On permission, councils in England take differing views on window graphics; inside-the-glass work is often outside control or allowed, while big graphics on listed shopfronts or in conservation areas can be restricted. We check before you commit. On marking, Approved Document K recommends manifestation at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level on glazing people could walk into, and the Workplace Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) cover transparent surfaces at work. Our proof shows the heights, so you can see the result before anything is cut.
