Flat-cut letters are individual letters and logos cut from a single solid sheet, typically 5–10 mm acrylic, aluminium composite or metal, and fixed flush to a wall or held off it on stand-offs.
Reasons to choose flat-cut letters in Prestatyn
- Shopfitters and interior designers working on Prestatyn fit-outs can specify flat-cut letters to the exact RAL or Pantone colour.
- Inside a Prestatyn clinic or practice, letters behind the reception desk tell visitors they are in the right place straight away.
- In a shared Prestatyn office building, a name on the wall beside your door helps visitors find you on the right floor.
What flat-cut letters cost in Prestatyn
Budgeting for flat-cut letters? The guide below runs from £18 to £65 per letter. VAT is extra. Size, materials and access decide where your job lands, and we confirm it in writing after surveying or checking the artwork.
| Item | Guide, ex VAT | Inc. VAT (20%) |
|---|---|---|
| Flat-cut letter, 300 mm tall | £18 – £65 | £21.60 – £78 |
| Typical reception or fascia name set | £320 – £1,200 | £384 – £1,440 |
| Fitting template and locators | £45 – £120 | £54 – £144 |
Material and thickness drive most of the difference: acrylic and aluminium composite sit at the lower end, solid metal and mirror finishes at the top. Letter count and height, stand-offs, colour matching, the wall surface and access follow, and every price is confirmed after an artwork check and survey.

Do you need permission for a sign in Prestatyn?
Deemed or express consent? In Wales the answer depends on the 1992 Control of Advertisements Regulations, as amended, rather than the English 2007 version. A plain, unlit sign on your own business frontage is often allowed without applying, within limits on size and position, but the details differ from England's, and conservation areas call for extra care. If the building is listed, expect to need listed building consent too. We check with the council before you commit to flat-cut letters, and can prepare the drawings and photographs or handle the submission for you.
