Is there a guide price for window and door lettering in Wigston Magna?

Yes: £95–£480 per window + VAT is our guide range. It is not a fixed quote, because no two jobs are the same size or on the same surface. The area covered, materials, the number of letters or panels, removal of anything old and access all change the figure, which we confirm after seeing the site or artwork.

Do you work across Leicestershire or only in Wigston Magna?

Across all of Leicestershire, and the rest of the UK too. Wigston Magna is simply one of the places we list, and enquiries from anywhere nearby follow exactly the same steps: photos or a survey, a scaled proof, a written price, then making and fitting once you sign off the design.

Do you need to visit before fitting?

Not always. For a single door or window, clear photos taken straight on with a tape measure in shot, plus glass sizes, are often enough for a scaled proof. A visit helps for large frontages, unusual glazing or old lettering to remove.

Will window cleaning damage vinyl lettering?

Normal cleaning won't. Soapy water, a soft applicator and a squeegee are fine. The risk comes from blades pushed against letter edges and from strong solvents. If your windows are scraped regularly, ask for the lettering on the inside face, out of reach.

How much does door lettering cost?

Door lettering with opening hours has a guide price of £95–£245 + VAT, supplied and fitted, and a full window set £195–£480 + VAT. Gold or metallic vinyl adds a guide £30–£120 + VAT. The price is confirmed once we see photos and wording.

How soon after I approve the proof can the work on window and door lettering happen?

Typically within a few weeks, depending on what has to be made. Printed and cut graphics are typically produced sooner than fabricated letters, trays or illuminated signs, which need more fabrication time. If the job needs advertisement consent, fitting waits for the council's decision. We confirm an expected date for Wigston Magna once materials are ordered.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Wigston Magna

Most businesses ask two things about glass: do I need permission, and does it need marking? On permission, councils in England take differing views on window graphics; inside-the-glass work is often outside control or allowed, while big graphics on listed shopfronts or in conservation areas can be restricted. We check before you commit. On marking, Approved Document K recommends manifestation at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level on glazing people could walk into, and the Workplace Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) cover transparent surfaces at work. Our proof shows the heights, so you can see the result before anything is cut.
