Do you work across Hertfordshire or only in Bushey?

Across all of Hertfordshire, and the rest of the UK too. Bushey is simply one of the places we list, and enquiries from anywhere nearby follow exactly the same steps: photos or a survey, a scaled proof, a written price, then making and fitting once you sign off the design.

Do you need to visit before fitting?

Not always. For a single door or window, clear photos taken straight on with a tape measure in shot, plus glass sizes, are often enough for a scaled proof. A visit helps for large frontages, unusual glazing or old lettering to remove.

Could the consent process affect the timing of my job in Bushey?

It can. Not every job needs an application, but where express consent is required the council's decision typically takes several weeks, and fitting typically waits until it is granted. We check this at the start, so the timetable you receive with your quote allows for consent where it applies, along with the proof approval stage.

How much does door lettering cost?

Door lettering with opening hours has a guide price of £95–£245 + VAT, supplied and fitted, and a full window set £195–£480 + VAT. Gold or metallic vinyl adds a guide £30–£120 + VAT. The price is confirmed once we see photos and wording.

Can I get a fixed price for window and door lettering in Bushey before committing?

Yes. We start from the guide range, £95 to £480 per window excluding VAT, then measure up or look at your photos and artwork. That gives a fixed written price reflecting the real size, materials, access and any design or consent work. You only commit once you accept that price and approve the proof.

How long does door lettering take to fit?

Not long on site. A door set with a name and opening hours typically takes under an hour once the glass is clean, and a full window set a few hours, depending on the amount of text and any old lettering to remove.

Window lettering is text or simple logos cut from self-adhesive vinyl, with no background film, applied to glass doors and windows to show a name, opening hours and contact details.

What you gain from window and door lettering in Bushey

Restaurants in Bushey with different hours each day can set them out line by line for diners checking at night.
When a Bushey business changes its number or hours, one line of vinyl is swapped rather than the whole door.
Drivers and cyclists passing through Bushey see windows at an angle, so bold letters and short lines help a name register.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Bushey

Window graphics are something councils treat in different ways. Graphics applied inside the glass are often outside advertisement control or allowed without an application, but large graphics on a listed shopfront or in a conservation area can be restricted, so we check first. Manifestation is a separate matter of safety rather than advertising: glazing that people could walk into must be made visible. In England, Approved Document K suggests marking two zones, 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level, and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, regulation 14, require transparent surfaces to be marked where necessary for safety.
