Can graphics go on a glass door too?

Yes, and the door is often where people look first. We keep graphics clear of the handle and push plate, laminate anything on the outside face, and leave a clear area at eye level if staff need to see who's coming in.

What is the typical timescale for window graphics from enquiry to fitting?

A quote typically follows once we have your photos or have surveyed the site, and making and fitting is typically booked a few weeks after you approve the proof. Where advertisement consent applies, that decision has to come through before anything goes up, which can add several weeks. We give you an expected timescale with your quote for Hoddesdon.

Will window graphics damage the glass?

Normally not. Window film adhesives release when warmed, and any residue cleans off the glass. The exceptions are coated or specialist glass, where we follow the maker's guidance, and dark films on large sunny panes, which can stress some glass.

Will someone visit my premises in Hoddesdon before quoting?

If the job needs it, yes. For signs fixed to a building, anything illuminated or work at height, we arrange a survey to measure, check the wall and plan access. For window graphics, lettering and many vehicle jobs, clear photos with measurements are often enough, and we only visit if something needs a closer look.

Can you match our brand colours?

Closely, in most cases. Print builds colour from a small set of inks, so some vivid oranges, greens and metallics can't be matched exactly. Send your brand colour references; for a critical colour, we can print a sample to compare first.

Is there a guide price for window graphics in Hoddesdon?

Yes: £28–£58 per m² + VAT is our guide range. It is not a fixed quote, because no two jobs are the same size or on the same surface. The area covered, materials, the number of letters or panels, removal of anything old and access all change the figure, which we confirm after seeing the site or artwork.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Hoddesdon

Most businesses ask two things about glass: do I need permission, and does it need marking? On permission, councils in England take differing views on window graphics; inside-the-glass work is often outside control or allowed, while big graphics on listed shopfronts or in conservation areas can be restricted. We check before you commit. On marking, Approved Document K recommends manifestation at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level on glazing people could walk into, and the Workplace Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) cover transparent surfaces at work. Our proof shows the heights, so you can see the result before anything is cut.
