How big can one window graphic be?

As big as the pane. Film comes on rolls, so glass wider than a roll is printed in panels and joined with a slight overlap where the design hides it. The proof shows where every join falls before anything is printed.

What is the typical timescale for window graphics from enquiry to fitting?

A quote typically follows once we have your photos or have surveyed the site, and making and fitting is typically booked a few weeks after you approve the proof. Where advertisement consent applies, that decision has to come through before anything goes up, which can add several weeks. We give you an expected timescale with your quote for Caerphilly.

Do we have to close for fitting?

Usually not. A single shopfront is typically fitted in a few hours once the glass is clean, and the fitter needs only a clear strip by the window. Large or high frontages take longer, and the work can usually be booked before opening or after closing.

Will someone visit my premises in Caerphilly before quoting?

If the job needs it, yes. For signs fixed to a building, anything illuminated or work at height, we arrange a survey to measure, check the wall and plan access. For window graphics, lettering and many vehicle jobs, clear photos with measurements are often enough, and we only visit if something needs a closer look.

Can you see out through window graphics?

Not through standard printed vinyl, which is solid. For a view out, perforated one-way vision film lets people inside see the street while passers-by see your print. It works when it's brighter outside; after dark, with lights on inside, the effect reverses.

How much should I budget for window graphics in Caerphilly?

As a guide, £28–£58 per m² + VAT. Where your job falls in that range depends on size, materials, access height, whether old signage has to come off and how much design work is involved. We confirm a fixed price after a survey or artwork check, before anything is ordered.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Caerphilly

Often the bigger question with glass is safety rather than planning. Glazing that people could walk into must be marked so it is visible, and in workplaces the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) require it where necessary; the building guidance used in Wales shares that aim. Planning can still matter. Councils in Wales treat window graphics in different ways, and large graphics on listed shopfronts or within conservation areas may be restricted, even though internal graphics are often allowed. We check with you before anything is printed or cut.
