Can you remove a previous tenant's graphics?

Yes. Old vinyl is warmed and peeled, and leftover adhesive is cleaned off so new graphics bond properly. Removal has a guide price of £6–£15 per m² + VAT, depending on the film's age, confirmed after survey, and can be done in the same visit.

Why is there a price range for window graphics rather than one figure?

Because jobs vary. The guide of £28 to £58 per m² + VAT spans small, simple work at one end and larger, more involved work at the other. Size, material, finish, access, design time and any consent drawings push the figure up or down. A survey or artwork check lets us fix the price for your job in Ardrossan.

Is Ardrossan inside your coverage area for window graphics?

It is. We work throughout the UK rather than in a single region, so Ardrossan and every part of Ayrshire are included. Where a survey is needed we arrange a visit; for graphics jobs we can often quote from photos and measurements. Either way, you get a proof and a written price first.

Can you see out through window graphics?

Not through standard printed vinyl, which is solid. For a view out, perforated one-way vision film lets people inside see the street while passers-by see your print. It works when it's brighter outside; after dark, with lights on inside, the effect reverses.

Will window graphics damage the glass?

Normally not. Window film adhesives release when warmed, and any residue cleans off the glass. The exceptions are coated or specialist glass, where we follow the maker's guidance, and dark films on large sunny panes, which can stress some glass.

What is the typical timescale for window graphics from enquiry to fitting?

A quote typically follows once we have your photos or have surveyed the site, and making and fitting is typically booked a few weeks after you approve the proof. Where advertisement consent applies, that decision has to come through before anything goes up, which can add several weeks. We give you an expected timescale with your quote for Ardrossan.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Ardrossan

Scottish planning authorities vary on whether window graphics count as advertisements. Much internal vinyl is outside control or allowed, but a conservation area or listed frontage can restrict larger graphics, and listed building consent may be relevant too. Safety is the other consideration. Scotland's building standards have their own guidance on making glazing visible, while in workplaces the 1992 Workplace Regulations (regulation 14) require marking where necessary. Before the proof for window graphics is approved, we confirm the heights for any manifestation and raise any planning point with you.
