Can wall graphics go on an outside wall?

Sometimes, but it's a different job. Outside walls need weather- and UV-resistant materials, and a branded graphic counts as an advertisement, so consent may be needed; we check first. A printed panel fixed to the wall often outlasts vinyl on rough masonry.

Can you make a mural from our photos?

Often, if the files are large enough. A wall is a big print, so each photo is checked at full size and we tell you how it will look. Low-resolution images can be swapped for stock photography or drawn artwork, and you see a scaled proof first.

Why is there a price range for wall graphics and murals rather than one figure?

Because jobs vary. The guide of £38 to £82 per m² + VAT spans small, simple work at one end and larger, more involved work at the other. Size, material, finish, access, design time and any consent drawings push the figure up or down. A survey or artwork check lets us fix the price for your job in Taunton.

Can you work to an opening date in Taunton?

Tell us the date when you enquire and we will say plainly whether it looks realistic. Timescales typically depend on how soon the proof is approved, how long production takes and whether consent is needed, which can take several weeks on its own. We plan around your date where we can, but we do not promise one we cannot control.

How do you clean wall graphics?

Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads, solvent cleaners and scrubbing at edges. Laminated vinyl handles regular cleaning well, which is why it suits busy corridors, gyms and schools; wallpaper murals need a gentler touch.

Can you handle wall graphics and murals for a business in Taunton?

Yes. Smart Signs covers Taunton and the rest of Somerset as part of a UK-wide service. You send photos and rough sizes, we arrange a survey if the job needs one, then you receive a proof to scale and a fixed written price. Nothing is made or fitted until you have approved both.

Wall graphics and murals in Somerset: permission and rules

Graphics on interior walls usually fall outside advertisement control, so planning consent is rarely the question indoors. The checks are fire performance in escape routes, your lease, and listed status: listed building consent covers interiors too, so ask the council before fixing to historic surfaces. A branded graphic on an outside wall is normally treated as an advertisement; in England it falls under the 2007 regulations, and large graphics may need express consent. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules. If consent is needed, we can prepare the drawings and photos or submit the application for you.
