Is there a typical lead time for wall graphics and murals in Nelson?

Yes, though it varies with the job. The lead time typically runs from the day you approve the proof, not from the first enquiry, and is typically a few weeks. Survey visits, artwork changes and any consent application sit before that point, so getting photos, sizes and logo files to us early typically shortens the overall timescale.

Can you make a mural from our photos?

Often, if the files are large enough. A wall is a big print, so each photo is checked at full size and we tell you how it will look. Low-resolution images can be swapped for stock photography or drawn artwork, and you see a scaled proof first.

Is Nelson inside your coverage area for wall graphics and murals?

It is. We work throughout the UK rather than in a single region, so Nelson and every part of Lancashire are included. Where a survey is needed we arrange a visit; for graphics jobs we can often quote from photos and measurements. Either way, you get a proof and a written price first.

How do you clean wall graphics?

Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads, solvent cleaners and scrubbing at edges. Laminated vinyl handles regular cleaning well, which is why it suits busy corridors, gyms and schools; wallpaper murals need a gentler touch.

Can graphics go around corners and doors?

Yes. Printed graphics are designed to the exact wall layout, so an image can run around an external corner, frame a doorway or continue above it. The artwork is planned so faces and text don't fall across a corner, light switch or door frame.

Is there a guide price for wall graphics and murals in Nelson?

Yes: £38–£82 per m² + VAT is our guide range. It is not a fixed quote, because no two jobs are the same size or on the same surface. The area covered, materials, the number of letters or panels, removal of anything old and access all change the figure, which we confirm after seeing the site or artwork.

Wall graphics and murals in Nelson: permission and rules

Graphics on interior walls usually fall outside advertisement control, so planning consent is rarely the question indoors. The checks are fire performance in escape routes, your lease, and listed status: listed building consent covers interiors too, so ask the council before fixing to historic surfaces. A branded graphic on an outside wall is normally treated as an advertisement; in England it falls under the 2007 regulations, and large graphics may need express consent. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules. If consent is needed, we can prepare the drawings and photos or submit the application for you.
