Are wall graphics suitable for gyms?

Yes, with the right material. Laminated vinyl copes with sweat, wiping and knocks from equipment. In changing rooms keep graphics away from showers and areas that are regularly soaked, where edges will lift, and make sure humid spaces are well ventilated.

Could the consent process affect the timing of my job in Alton?

It can. Not every job needs an application, but where express consent is required the council's decision typically takes several weeks, and fitting typically waits until it is granted. We check this at the start, so the timetable you receive with your quote allows for consent where it applies, along with the proof approval stage.

Do you work across Hampshire or only in Alton?

Across all of Hampshire, and the rest of the UK too. Alton is simply one of the places we list, and enquiries from anywhere nearby follow exactly the same steps: photos or a survey, a scaled proof, a written price, then making and fitting once you sign off the design.

Can graphics go around corners and doors?

Yes. Printed graphics are designed to the exact wall layout, so an image can run around an external corner, frame a doorway or continue above it. The artwork is planned so faces and text don't fall across a corner, light switch or door frame.

How much should I budget for wall graphics and murals in Alton?

As a guide, £38–£82 per m² + VAT. Where your job falls in that range depends on size, materials, access height, whether old signage has to come off and how much design work is involved. We confirm a fixed price after a survey or artwork check, before anything is ordered.

Can wall graphics go on an outside wall?

Sometimes, but it's a different job. Outside walls need weather- and UV-resistant materials, and a branded graphic counts as an advertisement, so consent may be needed; we check first. A printed panel fixed to the wall often outlasts vinyl on rough masonry.

Wall graphics and murals in Alton: permission and rules

Graphics on interior walls usually fall outside advertisement control, so planning consent is rarely the question indoors. The checks are fire performance in escape routes, your lease, and listed status: listed building consent covers interiors too, so ask the council before fixing to historic surfaces. A branded graphic on an outside wall is normally treated as an advertisement; in England it falls under the 2007 regulations, and large graphics may need express consent. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules. If consent is needed, we can prepare the drawings and photos or submit the application for you.
