How soon after I approve the proof can the work on wall graphics and murals happen?

Typically within a few weeks, depending on what has to be made. Printed and cut graphics are typically produced sooner than fabricated letters, trays or illuminated signs, which need more fabrication time. If the job needs advertisement consent, fitting waits for the council's decision. We confirm an expected date for Northwich once materials are ordered.

Can graphics go around corners and doors?

Yes. Printed graphics are designed to the exact wall layout, so an image can run around an external corner, frame a doorway or continue above it. The artwork is planned so faces and text don't fall across a corner, light switch or door frame.

Can wall graphics go on an outside wall?

Sometimes, but it's a different job. Outside walls need weather- and UV-resistant materials, and a branded graphic counts as an advertisement, so consent may be needed; we check first. A printed panel fixed to the wall often outlasts vinyl on rough masonry.

Can I get a fixed price for wall graphics and murals in Northwich before committing?

Yes. We start from the guide range, £38 to £82 per m² excluding VAT, then measure up or look at your photos and artwork. That gives a fixed written price reflecting the real size, materials, access and any design or consent work. You only commit once you accept that price and approve the proof.

Who carries out the work on wall graphics and murals in Northwich?

The work on site is done by installers working under our contract, and anything that needs making is produced by specialist fabricators. You deal with Smart Signs throughout: we take the enquiry, survey, prepare the design and quote, check consent and coordinate the fitting, so there is one point of contact from first message to handover.

Can you fit while the building is open?

Usually, yes. Vinyl fitting is quiet, low-odour and needs only a clear area by the wall, so offices and shops often stay open. For schools, busy receptions or large murals, the work can be scheduled for evenings, weekends or school holidays.

Wall graphics and murals in Northwich: permission and rules

Graphics on interior walls usually fall outside advertisement control, so planning consent is rarely the question indoors. The checks are fire performance in escape routes, your lease, and listed status: listed building consent covers interiors too, so ask the council before fixing to historic surfaces. A branded graphic on an outside wall is normally treated as an advertisement; in England it falls under the 2007 regulations, and large graphics may need express consent. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules. If consent is needed, we can prepare the drawings and photos or submit the application for you.
