Van sign-writing in Wokingham

Yes. Smart Signs covers Wokingham and the rest of Berkshire as part of a UK-wide service. You send photos and rough sizes, we arrange a survey if the job needs one, then you receive a proof to scale and a fixed written price. Nothing is made or fitted until you have approved both.

Cut vinyl is solid-colour film cut by a plotter into letters and shapes, then weeded and applied, so it's crisp, durable and economical for text. Printed graphics are inks on white film, laminated, and used where a logo has gradients, photos or many colours. Many vans combine both: cut lettering with one printed logo panel.

It can. Not every job needs an application, but where express consent is required the council's decision typically takes several weeks, and fitting typically waits until it is granted. We check this at the start, so the timetable you receive with your quote allows for consent where it applies, along with the proof approval stage.

Cut vinyl comes in a fixed range of colours, so we pick the closest match to your brand colours and show it on the proof. Where an exact match matters, the logo can be printed instead, because print can be tuned more finely. Screens show colours differently, so a printed sample is worth asking for.

Because jobs vary. The guide of £245 to £895 per van + VAT spans small, simple work at one end and larger, more involved work at the other. Size, material, finish, access, design time and any consent drawings push the figure up or down. A survey or artwork check lets us fix the price for your job in Wokingham.

Yes. Lettering works on any sound paint colour as long as the vinyl contrasts strongly with it. White, yellow or silver lettering suits dark blue, black or grey vans; black or navy suits white, silver and other light colours. Metallic paint is fine, though busy two-tone paint schemes leave less clear space for text.
