A lightbox sign is a shallow enclosed box with a translucent face and LED lighting inside, so the whole panel, or just lettering routed into it, glows evenly at night.
Reasons to choose lightbox signs in Cleckheaton
- When an old fluorescent box above a Cleckheaton shop flickers, an LED conversion can cost far less than a new sign.
- Where a Cleckheaton shop has a long fascia, a flex-faced box spans it without the joins rigid acrylic sheets need.
- Taking over a franchise or a new lease in Cleckheaton? A replacement face keeps the existing box and wiring.
What lightbox signs cost in Cleckheaton
Prices below are guides, not quotes: £1,250 to £4,800 per lightbox plus VAT, depending on size, materials and access. We confirm the exact figure after a survey or an artwork check, and it is agreed before anything is made.
| Item | Guide, ex VAT | Inc. VAT (20%) |
|---|---|---|
| Lightbox up to 3 m, printed face | £1,250 – £2,650 | £1,500 – £3,180 |
| Lightbox 3–5 m, routed and push-through letters | £2,450 – £4,800 | £2,940 – £5,760 |
| Replacement face for an existing lightbox | £295 – £950 | £354 – £1,140 |
Length and face type drive most of the price; shaped or double-sided boxes, old-cabinet removal, fascia repairs, access equipment and consent drawings add to it.

Consent for illuminated signs in Cleckheaton
Plan for express consent. In England most internally illuminated and halo-lit signs on a fascia or projecting bracket need it, and deemed consent does not cover illuminated signs in conservation areas, National Parks, National Landscapes, the Broads or areas of special control. The council usually decides within 8 weeks, and consent normally lasts 5 years. Expect questions about brightness: many councils refer to ILP guidance PLG05, which sets maximum luminance by zone, and they expect steady light rather than flashing. We prepare scaled drawings and photo mock-ups for the application, or submit it for you, and an electrician completes the connection to BS 7671 and gives you the certificate.
