Does LED neon flicker or buzz?

Not with a decent driver. LED neon gives a steady light, without the hum ageing glass-neon transformers can make. If a sign starts flickering, a loose connector or failing driver is the usual cause, and both are simple to replace.

What if part of the sign fails?

The driver is the most common failure and is quick to swap. If a section of flex fails, it can usually be cut out and replaced or the run reconnected, rather than remaking the whole sign. Keep the driver details from handover.

Who carries out the work on LED neon signs in Newtown?

The work on site is done by installers working under our contract, and anything that needs making is produced by specialist fabricators. You deal with Smart Signs throughout: we take the enquiry, survey, prepare the design and quote, check consent and coordinate the fitting, so there is one point of contact from first message to handover.

How much should I budget for LED neon signs in Newtown?

As a guide, £245–£1,250 per sign + VAT. Where your job falls in that range depends on size, materials, access height, whether old signage has to come off and how much design work is involved. We confirm a fixed price after a survey or artwork check, before anything is ordered.

What can delay LED neon signs in Newtown?

The usual causes are artwork changes after the proof stage, waiting for consent, access arrangements such as a council licence for scaffolding on the pavement, and weather for outdoor fitting. Jobs typically run smoothly once the proof is approved and any consent is in place, but we do not promise dates that depend on things outside our control.

Can we take the sign to events?

Yes. Interior LED neon is light and plugs into a normal socket, so it travels well to trade shows, launches and pop-ups. A padded case protects the acrylic edges. Some venues ask for portable appliance testing, so check their rules first.

LED neon signs in Powys

An LED neon sign is a logo or lettering formed from flexible LED tube that imitates glass neon, running at 12 or 24 volts and usually mounted on an acrylic backboard.

Why choose LED neon signs in Powys?

A Newtown restaurant with a covered terrace can use outdoor-rated neon, sealed against rain and hard-wired by an electrician.
Gyms and studios in Newtown can put bold neon words on training walls, where the low-voltage flex stays cool.
For pop-ups across Powys, plug-in neon moves easily from a Newtown venue to the next market, fair or event.

LED neon signs in Powys: permission and rules

A neon sign on an inside wall, away from the windows, is usually outside advertisement control. Once it's visible from the street, on a fascia, canopy or just behind the glass, it can count as an illuminated advertisement. In England, lit signs get only limited deemed consent, and none in conservation areas, National Parks, National Landscapes, the Broads or areas of special control; an express consent decision usually takes up to 8 weeks. Keep street-facing signs static. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own regulations. We can prepare the drawings and photos for an application, or submit it for you.
