An LED neon sign is a logo or lettering formed from flexible LED tube that imitates glass neon, running at 12 or 24 volts and usually mounted on an acrylic backboard.
Reasons to choose LED neon signs in Airdrie
- Behind the counter of an Airdrie bar, warm-white or pink LED neon adds atmosphere without any fragile glass tubes.
- Salons and barbers in Airdrie can hang a neon logo just inside the window to catch passers-by after dark.
- Gyms and studios in Airdrie can put bold neon words on training walls, where the low-voltage flex stays cool.
What LED neon signs cost in Airdrie
Below is the guide pricing we use for LED neon signs: from £245 up to £1,250 per sign, before VAT. These are not fixed quotes. A written price follows once measurements are taken and your artwork has been checked.
| Item | Guide, ex VAT | Inc. VAT (20%) |
|---|---|---|
| LED neon sign up to 600 mm | £245 – £495 | £294 – £594 |
| LED neon sign 600 mm–1.2 m | £450 – £1,250 | £540 – £1,500 |
| Outdoor-rated version | £150 – £450 | £180 – £540 |
Total flex length drives the price, so dense script costs more than short words. Extra colours, shaped backboards, dimmers or RGB control and hard-wired fitting add to it; larger signs are quoted individually.

LED neon signs in Airdrie: permission and rules
A neon sign on an inside wall, away from the windows, is usually outside advertisement control. Once it's visible from the street, on a fascia, canopy or just behind the glass, it can count as an illuminated advertisement. In England, lit signs get only limited deemed consent, and none in conservation areas, National Parks, National Landscapes, the Broads or areas of special control; an express consent decision usually takes up to 8 weeks. Keep street-facing signs static. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own regulations. We can prepare the drawings and photos for an application, or submit it for you.
