Halo-lit letters are solid-faced fabricated letters with LEDs inside that shine backwards onto the wall, so each letter stands in silhouette against a soft outline of light.

Consent for illuminated signs in Kirkintilloch
Exterior illuminated signs in Scotland usually need express advertisement consent from the council under the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (Scotland) Regulations 1984, as amended. Applications are normally made through eDevelopment.scot, and the council can confirm its timescales and any conditions on hours or brightness. Brightness is commonly judged against the ILP's PLG05 guidance, and static lighting is expected. If the building is listed, listed building consent is usually needed as well. An electrician makes the final mains connection to BS 7671 and you receive the certificate. We prepare drawings and photos for the application, or submit it for you.
