Glass manifestation is marking such as dots, bands, logos or frosted strips applied to glass doors, screens and partitions so people can see the glass and don't walk into it.
Points in favour of glass manifestation in Cardiff
- During a Cardiff fit-out, sign-off tends to go more smoothly when the glazing is already marked at the recommended heights.
- Offices in Cardiff moving into space with glass partitions often find manifestation on the landlord's list before handover.
- Schools, surgeries and leisure centres around Cardiff see visitors of every age and height, which is why two marking zones matter.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Cardiff
Often the bigger question with glass is safety rather than planning. Glazing that people could walk into must be marked so it is visible, and in workplaces the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 (regulation 14) require it where necessary; the building guidance used in Wales shares that aim. Planning can still matter. Councils in Wales treat window graphics in different ways, and large graphics on listed shopfronts or within conservation areas may be restricted, even though internal graphics are often allowed.
