Glass manifestation is marking such as dots, bands, logos or frosted strips applied to glass doors, screens and partitions so people can see the glass and don't walk into it.
What you gain from glass manifestation in Strood
- If an inspection in Strood has flagged unmarked glass, one measured survey can price every door and panel.
- Offices in Strood moving into space with glass partitions often find manifestation on the landlord's list before handover.
- Schools, surgeries and leisure centres around Strood see visitors of every age and height, which is why two marking zones matter.
What glass manifestation costs in Strood
Use these figures to budget: £65 to £180 per pane is the guide range, with VAT added on top. Each line in the table is indicative only, and your exact price is confirmed after a survey or once we have looked over the artwork.
| Item | Guide, ex VAT | Inc. VAT (20%) |
|---|---|---|
| Manifestation per door or pane | £65 – £180 | £78 – £216 |
| Typical office floor (6–12 panes) | £450 – £1,450 | £540 – £1,740 |

Dots and bands cost least; logos and two-tone designs more. Pane size, old markings to remove and high glazing also count; the price is confirmed after survey.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Strood
Window graphics are something councils treat in different ways. Graphics applied inside the glass are often outside advertisement control or allowed without an application, but large graphics on a listed shopfront or in a conservation area can be restricted, so we check first. Manifestation is a separate matter of safety rather than advertising: glazing that people could walk into must be made visible. In England, Approved Document K suggests marking two zones, 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm above floor level, and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, regulation 14, require transparent surfaces to be marked where necessary for safety.
