How soon after I approve the proof can the work on frosted window film happen?

Typically within a few weeks, depending on what has to be made. Printed and cut graphics are typically produced sooner than fabricated letters, trays or illuminated signs, which need more fabrication time. If the job needs advertisement consent, fitting waits for the council's decision. We confirm an expected date for Rhiwbina once materials are ordered.

Does frosted film go inside or outside?

Usually inside, on the room side, where it's protected from weather and easy to clean. On double-glazed units only the exposed faces can be filmed, so the room side is the norm. Outdoor-grade films exist for glass that can't be reached from inside.

Does frosted film make glass safer?

Not by itself. Decorative frosted film is a privacy finish, not a safety film, and shouldn't be relied on to hold broken glass together; that needs safety glass or a film made for the purpose. Frosted bands can, though, help make clear glass more visible.

Does the price of frosted window film in Rhiwbina include VAT?

No. Our guide range of £32–£68 per m² excludes VAT, which is added to the quote. The final figure depends on size, materials, access, removal of existing signage or graphics and the artwork needed, and we confirm it in writing after a survey or once we have checked your files.

Is Rhiwbina inside your coverage area for frosted window film?

It is. We work throughout the UK rather than in a single region, so Rhiwbina and every part of South Glamorgan are included. Where a survey is needed we arrange a visit; for graphics jobs we can often quote from photos and measurements. Either way, you get a proof and a written price first.

How much does frosted window film cost?

Plain frosted film has a guide price of £32–£48 per m², and film with a cut-out design £45–£68 per m², supplied and fitted, excluding VAT. Small jobs have a £225 + VAT minimum. Your fixed price is confirmed after a survey and design approval.

Frosted window film in Rhiwbina

Frosted window film is a translucent, etch-effect self-adhesive film that blurs the view through glass while still letting daylight pass, giving the look of sandblasted glass without replacing it.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Rhiwbina

Shop windows in Wales are a grey area for advertisement control, and each council takes its own view. Lettering and graphics fixed to the inside face of the glass are often outside control or permitted, yet a large design on a listed shopfront or in a conservation area may run into restrictions. For that reason we ask before anything is printed. Safety is a separate duty. Panes people could walk into must be made visible, Welsh building guidance carries the same aim, and at work regulation 14 of the 1992 Workplace Regulations requires marking where needed. Our proof shows exactly where the manifestation sits.
