Rules for window and glass graphics in Nelson
Glass graphics raise two separate questions in Wales. Planning first: councils take different views on window graphics, and while internal graphics are often outside control or allowed, a listed shopfront or a conservation area can bring restrictions on large designs. Safety second: large areas of glazing that people could walk into must be made visible, and in workplaces regulation 14 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 requires marking where it is needed. Welsh building guidance deals with manifestation with that same aim, and we confirm the heights for your building before the proof is approved.
Covering Nelson and Gwent
Coverage is nationwide, which means Nelson and the surrounding parts of Gwent are included as standard. Anything fixed to a building normally needs someone on site to measure and check fixings and access; simpler graphics can usually be quoted from images you send. The Nelson, Gwent postcode districts we quote for include CF46 and CF82. Nelson is about 13 miles west of Newport.
