What is the typical timescale for frosted window film from enquiry to fitting?

A quote typically follows once we have your photos or have surveyed the site, and making and fitting is typically booked a few weeks after you approve the proof. Where advertisement consent applies, that decision has to come through before anything goes up, which can add several weeks. We give you an expected timescale with your quote for Llanelli.

Is there a guide price for frosted window film in Llanelli?

Yes: £32–£68 per m² + VAT is our guide range. It is not a fixed quote, because no two jobs are the same size or on the same surface. The area covered, materials, the number of letters or panels, removal of anything old and access all change the figure, which we confirm after seeing the site or artwork.

How long does office fitting take?

A few meeting rooms are typically fitted in a day once the glass is clean. Long partition runs, intricate cut designs or high glazing take longer. Fitting can often be arranged early, late or at weekends so meetings carry on as normal.

How much does frosted window film cost?

Plain frosted film has a guide price of £32–£48 per m², and film with a cut-out design £45–£68 per m², supplied and fitted, excluding VAT. Small jobs have a £225 + VAT minimum. Your fixed price is confirmed after a survey and design approval.

Will frosted film stick to textured glass?

Not reliably. Frosted film needs smooth, flat glass to bond fully; on textured or patterned glass it bridges the dips, traps air and soon lifts. If one side of the glass is smooth, the film can usually go on that side instead.

Who carries out the work on frosted window film in Llanelli?

The work on site is done by installers working under our contract, and anything that needs making is produced by specialist fabricators. You deal with Smart Signs throughout: we take the enquiry, survey, prepare the design and quote, check consent and coordinate the fitting, so there is one point of contact from first message to handover.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Dyfed

Glass graphics raise two separate questions in Wales. Planning first: councils take different views on window graphics, and while internal graphics are often outside control or allowed, a listed shopfront or a conservation area can bring restrictions on large designs. Safety second: large areas of glazing that people could walk into must be made visible, and in workplaces regulation 14 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 requires marking where it is needed. Welsh building guidance deals with manifestation with that same aim, and we confirm the heights for your building before the proof is approved.
