Frosted window film is a translucent, etch-effect self-adhesive film that blurs the view through glass while still letting daylight pass, giving the look of sandblasted glass without replacing it.
Why choose frosted window film for a business in Kempston?
- In a listed Kempston building, we ask the council before frosting historic windows, as altering their look can need consent.
- If you lease a unit on a Kempston business park, peel-off film helps you hand the glass back clear at the end.
- For salons and spas in Kempston, banded or patterned frost screens treatment rooms while reception still feels light.
What frosted window film costs in Kempston
The figures in this table are guide prices, from £32 to £68 per m², and they exclude VAT. They are there to help you plan. A firm price follows the survey or artwork check and is agreed before any work starts.
| Item | Guide, ex VAT | Inc. VAT (20%) |
|---|---|---|
| Plain frosted film, per m² | £32 – £48 | £38.40 – £57.60 |
| Frosted film with cut-out design, per m² | £45 – £68 | £54 – £81.60 |
| Minimum job | £225 | £270 |
Pane count, design detail, high glazing needing a tower, and old film to remove all move the figure; the price is confirmed after survey and design approval.

Rules for window and glass graphics in Kempston
Two sets of rules can touch glass graphics in England. The first is advertisement control: lettering and graphics on the inside of a shop window are often outside it or allowed, but councils differ, and conservation areas and listed shopfronts can bring restrictions on large graphics. The second is safety. Approved Document K points to manifestation bands at 850–1000 mm and 1400–1600 mm from the floor, and in workplaces regulation 14 of the 1992 Workplace Regulations requires glazing to be marked where needed. We take both into account when we set out the proof, and we check with the council where the building or street calls for it.
Covering Kempston and Bedfordshire
Coverage is nationwide, which means Kempston and the surrounding parts of Bedfordshire are included as standard. Anything fixed to a building normally needs someone on site to measure and check fixings and access; simpler graphics can usually be quoted from images you send. The Kempston postcode districts we quote for include MK42, MK40 and MK43. Kempston lies around 17 miles north of Luton.
