How long does a fascia sign take?

A flat fascia is typically made and fitted 2–3 weeks after you approve the proof, and fitting a single-storey frontage typically takes a few hours. If listed building or express advertisement consent is needed, the council decision comes first; express consent decisions usually take up to 8 weeks.

Will a fascia sign cope with bad weather?

It should, if it is fixed properly. Aluminium composite does not rot or swell, and stainless fixings avoid the rust streaks that ordinary screws can leave. On older frontages the weak point is usually the board behind, so we check the top edge for water getting in and seal it.

Will someone visit my premises in Holloway before quoting?

If the job needs it, yes. For signs fixed to a building, anything illuminated or work at height, we arrange a survey to measure, check the wall and plan access. For window graphics, lettering and many vehicle jobs, clear photos with measurements are often enough, and we only visit if something needs a closer look.

Do I need to be there when the sign is fitted?

Not usually, as long as the frontage is accessible and power to any old sign lighting can be isolated. We agree the date with you, cone off and manage the pavement area while working, fit around your opening hours where access allows, and send photos once it is up.

How much should I budget for fascia signs in Holloway?

As a guide, £495–£1,650 per sign + VAT. Where your job falls in that range depends on size, materials, access height, whether old signage has to come off and how much design work is involved. We confirm a fixed price after a survey or artwork check, before anything is ordered.

What can delay fascia signs in Holloway?

The usual causes are artwork changes after the proof stage, waiting for consent, access arrangements such as a council licence for scaffolding on the pavement, and weather for outdoor fitting. Jobs typically run smoothly once the proof is approved and any consent is in place, but we do not promise dates that depend on things outside our control.

A fascia sign is the flat panel fixed along the board above a shop or office frontage, usually 3–4 mm aluminium composite carrying printed or cut-vinyl lettering, a logo and sometimes contact details.

Reasons to choose fascia signs in Holloway

On a narrow street in Holloway, people read signs at an angle, so clear letterforms matter more than sheer size.
If your Holloway shop is one of a parade, a well-proportioned panel can stand out without breaking the shared fascia line.
Retail park landlords often want drawings before approving signs, and a scale visual of your Holloway fascia gives them exactly that.

Do you need permission for a sign in Holloway?

In England, a non-illuminated sign on your own business premises usually falls under deemed consent, which means no application is needed provided the sign stays within set limits. The lettering and symbols should be no more than 0.75 m tall (0.3 m in an area of special control), and the top of the sign should sit no higher than the bottom of any first-floor window. Conservation areas and listed buildings need more care: a sign on a listed building usually also needs listed building consent. We check the position for your premises before you commit, and we can prepare the drawings and photos for an application or submit it for you.
