A rear chevron kit is typically fitted in 1–3 hours per vehicle, depending on size and the number of cut-outs. Fitting can usually happen at your depot or yard if there's dry, covered space, so several vehicles can be done in one visit. The doors need to be clean and dry before fitting starts.

It depends on the grade of retroreflective film, how much sun and road grime the vehicle sees, and how it's cleaned. Manufacturer ratings vary between grades, so check the data for the film your contract specifies. Inspect the markings regularly, because faded, cracked or peeling chevrons reflect less and may not pass a client's vehicle check.

Wash them as part of the normal vehicle wash, using vehicle shampoo and a soft brush or mitt. Road film and mud cut down how much light the chevrons reflect, so keeping them clean matters more than it does for ordinary graphics. Avoid solvents and scrapers, and keep pressure-washer lances back from edges and cut-outs.
