Car wraps and colour change in Nether Edge

Yes, if the wrap changes the car's main colour. Update the colour on the V5C log book with DVLA, and tell your insurer before you drive the car in its new colour. A part wrap such as a black roof or mirrors doesn't change the main colour, so the V5C stays as it is, though it's still worth mentioning to your insurer.

Guide pricing runs from £1,950 to £3,750 per car, plus VAT. The main things that move it are dimensions, the material and finish, illumination where relevant, how high the work is and whether a scaffold or platform is needed. Your written quote, issued after a survey or a check of your artwork, replaces the guide figure.

Usually, yes. Factory paint on a new car is normally the ideal base, because it's fully bonded and free of chips. The car still needs a thorough wash and decontamination before fitting so the film sticks properly. A panel that has been resprayed, even on a nearly new car, usually needs time to cure before it can be wrapped.

It typically takes a few weeks from first enquiry, with much of that time falling after you approve the proof, while the work is made and scheduled. Graphics and vehicle jobs are typically shorter than fabricated or illuminated signs. If advertisement consent is needed, the council's decision comes first and adds to the overall timescale.

It is. We work throughout the UK rather than in a single region, so Nether Edge and every part of South Yorkshire are included. Where a survey is needed we arrange a visit; for graphics jobs we can often quote from photos and measurements. Either way, you get a proof and a written price first.

It helps. While the film is on, it shields the paint from sun fade, light scuffs and bird droppings, which is one reason some owners of newer cars choose a wrap over a respray. It isn't armour, though: a sharp stone or a car-park knock can still mark the film and occasionally the paint below.
