Do you need permission for a sign in Newtown?
Putting up a non-illuminated sign in Wales? Some signs on business premises can go up under deemed consent, but the 1992 Advertisement Regulations that apply in Wales set their own conditions, which differ in detail from England's. Conservation areas and listed buildings need more care, and a listed building usually needs listed building consent too, with fixings into mortar joints rather than the stone or brick face generally preferred. Our approach is simple: we confirm with the council what applies to your building before you spend anything, then prepare the drawings or submit the application for you if one is needed.

Signs in Newtown: questions
Is Newtown inside your coverage area for business signs?
It is. We work throughout the UK rather than in a single region, so Newtown and every part of Powys are included. Where a survey is needed we arrange a visit; for graphics jobs we can often quote from photos and measurements. Either way, you get a proof and a written price first.
Why is there a price range for fascia signs rather than one figure?
Because jobs vary. The guide of £495 to £1,650 per sign + VAT spans small, simple work at one end and larger, more involved work at the other. Size, material, finish, access, design time and any consent drawings push the figure up or down. A survey or artwork check lets us fix the price for your job in Newtown.
What is the typical timescale for built-up letters from enquiry to fitting?
A quote typically follows once we have your photos or have surveyed the site, and making and fitting is typically booked a few weeks after you approve the proof. Where advertisement consent applies, that decision has to come through before anything goes up, which can add several weeks. We give you an expected timescale with your quote for Newtown.
